U Built Homes® can alter any of its fully built, kitset, shell only or transportable homes or houses plans to meet your lifestyle requirements or, if you have your own house or home concept plan, we can offer a complete design and build service.

U Built Homes® uses ZOG® steel framing in it's fully built, kitset, shell only and transportable homes and houses. ZOG®, a leader in New Zealand's steel frame industry, has spent a number of years working closely with BRANZ and perfecting its house frames. During this time, ZOG® has developed and patented a number of products which make their house and home frames more efficient and simpler to put together.

ZOG® Steel Framing for homes and houses is light, which makes it easy to move around the site, yet it's strength and geometric properties make it straight and true, adding to the aesthetic value of your property. Steel does not absorb moisture which is important in New Zealand's high humidity climate. This eliminates frame movement resulting in cracking and peaking.

Steel does not contain any toxic chemicals making it low allergenic and endorsed by the asthma foundation. All ZOG® Steel Frames are backed by a 50 year New Zealand Steel durability warranty.

ZOG® Steel Frames for homes and houses use only Axxis™ steel, manufactured by New Zealand Steel.

U Built Homes® uses ERFF® Aerated Concrete Panel and James Hardie Weatherboard as standard cladding options for their fully built, kitset, shell only or transportable homes or houses. We are able to offer different cladding systems to personalise the look of your new home. Should you like the traditional look of clay brick or the distinctive lines of Linea® we are only too happy to accommodate.

U Built Homes® uses ESI® extruded sheet insulation for their fully built, kitset, shell only or transportable homes or houses. The ESI® sheet is fixed to the outside of the ZOG® Steel Framing and has three main purposes…

1. It acts as the thermal break for the ZOG® Steel Frame
2. It provides a thermal protection rating exceeding R.6
3. It has a fire retardant to grade B1.

U Built Homes® accredited licence holders offer for your additional security, the exclusive third party Goldstar Warranty®, for your house or home building project, underwritten by Construction Warranties Ltd. This warranty offers the following:

For Kitsets (including shell only kitsets):

1. All monies paid to U Built Homes® after signing, are protected by the warranty until your materials are delivered to site. This offers you complete security for your kitset home.

For Full Build only:

1. Loss of deposit up to $30,000.00 inc GST
2. Non-completion or abandonment of the dwelling up to $60,000.00 inc GST
3. Repair or replace any defective work within 60 (sixty) days of completion of dwelling and
4. Up to $20,000.00 inc GST for any major structural defects that occur within seven years of signing the contract
5. Maximum aggregate loss $110,000.00.

For Shell Build only:

1. Loss of deposit up to $30,000.00 inc GST
2. Non-completion or abandonment of the dwelling up to $30,000.00 inc GST
3. Up to $20,000.00 inc GST for any major structural defects that occur within seven years of signing the contract
4. Maximum aggregate loss $80,000.00.
